:keyboard: Alessio is currently a full-time Applied Scientist at Amazon, in the Alexa Text-To-Speech team. Alessio got his master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Bologna, his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Florence (the city where he was born and raised) and he is now based in Cambridge, England.

:robot: Alessio has 2+ years of experience working as a freelance/part-time Software Engineer for multiple companies and has put into practice his expertise in Image Processing, Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing for interesting applications such as OCR. Other than his professional experience, he has been studying and experimenting in ICT and Computer Science for 10+ years.

:books: Alessio loves to acquire new knowledge, develop his technical and non-technical skills and competencies and enjoys applying his learnings in the everyday job. As for AI, he likes to closely follow the whole development pipeline, from research to production, and he is currently mastering topics such as Speech Processing, Text-To-Speech and Graph Neural Networks. Alessio is also an avid Apple user and has a great passion for Linux and open-source software overall.
